Week 1

Welcome to level 2!

I highly suggest reviewing the material from Beginner Level 1 if you have not already, because you will need every bit of those techniques for moving onwards. Raqs sharqi starts to get hard, and then really hard, as you progress.

Just keep practicing, have fun with it, and you'll get there!

Drills and Conditioning for Week 1

Conditioning can be done any time, but make sure not to push yourself too hard. Only do conditioning 2 or 3 times a week, and give your body a break.

Drills can be done every day, but at least twice a week is good if you want to get the movements down quickly.

Week 2

Each week is going to get a little harder. Keep up with your drills and don't get frustrated. This is hard work, but if you stick to it, you'll be dancing it in no time!

Week 3

Make sure you take the time to really drill all these moves. You will need them in your muscle memory really well so that when we start layering these movements in the integration drills, it's not so hard.

Our first integration class will be the easy one. Check the schedule to keep up with your drills and conditioning so you're ready for next week!
